Authenticity in storytelling, hospitality in sharing, reliability in action.
For Francesco Caputo, the table has never been only a place to eat. It is a space for meeting, listening and respect, where quality should be genuine and the price fair. His story in gastronomy began long before 2014, bringing together coffee expertise and hospitality.
In 2014, this experience took an entrepreneurial form with Caffè Più Caputo GmbH, which put down roots in Ittigen and became a small corner of Italy. Maria Roselli played a fundamental role and contributed enormously to the growth of the business. Concetta Caputo and Paolo Caputo often helped Francesco in the kitchen: they too worked at the stove and took part in the daily life of the venue.
Sefora and Elia grew up within this story. They watched Caffè Più grow as they themselves grew and experienced its journey from an early age. They are the human and family foundation of Francesco’s life and of this path.
Francesco’s expertise as a barista and coffee-machine technician has also been featured in the Swiss press. Alongside gastronomy is his long service as a firefighter: a story of presence, responsibility, cooperation and readiness to help others.
At the end of 2025, Le Taverne F+S GmbH was created by Francesco together with Silvia Uçan, an essential part of this new stage devoted to restaurants, catering and events. The Ristorante Pizzeria Il Dono and Bar Il XXII also grew from this stage; in 2026, the Municipality of Ittigen placed its trust in the team to manage the ChäppuTräff.
Today, Sefora and Elia also follow the development of Le Taverne, Il Dono and Il XXII closely. They help Francesco, contribute their ideas and offer advice that he listens to and values greatly. Francesco is deeply proud of both of them.
Le Tavole Vere del Mondo also grows from them and is the natural continuation of a family journey lived every day. Together, Francesco, Sefora and Elia seek authentic cooking, genuine people, sincere hospitality and stories that deserve to be told with honesty and respect.
