Caputo Bagels — a special encounter in Brooklyn

During our trip to New York, Sefora and I went to Park Slope to visit Caputo Bagels. It was a wonderful experience: both owners, Rafi Hasid and James Caputo, gave us a very warm welcome.

For me, meeting another Caputo on the other side of the world was truly special. We are not related, but we share more than the same surname: we also share the same passion for food and hospitality. That made our meeting even more meaningful. In the photograph, from left to right, are Rafi Hasid, me, and James Caputo.

Sefora really enjoyed her Everything Bagel with plain cream cheese. I chose a sesame bagel with eggs and bacon, and it was very good. We found the products exceptionally fresh and the coffee excellent. It was a simple, authentic, and heartwarming experience — one of those moments that enrich a journey and become a beautiful memory to take home.
